Of the 2,500 tons of ore mined daily at a quarry, 0.4 percent results in a certain pure metal. In how many days of mining will the total amount of pure metal produced at the quarry be equal to the daily amount of ore mined?

A 10
B 100
C 250
D 400
E 1,000

The OA is C.

Please, can any expert assist me with this DS question? I'm really confused with it. Thanks in advanced.

Every day 0.4% of the desired amount of metal is produced.
(100%)/(0.4%) = 100/0.4 = 1000/4 = 250.
Put another way:
(250)(0.4%) = 100%,
Implication:
Working at a rate of 0.4% per day, the quarry will require 250 days to produce 100% of the desired amount of metal.

The correct answer is C.
