hey guys,

just wondering whether i should do the advanced prepration in MGMAT word translations book for these topics. I just need a 650+ score. I have done the basic in the word translations MGMAT book but there is also an advanced section on these problems:

1) statics, combinatorics, probability
3) minor problem types: optimization, groupcing, scheduling.4
4) advanced rates & work problems

Also, in general, how often are these topics tested - whether advanced or simple - on the real thing?

It varies. If you're doing well, then you're more likely to see tougher problems such as combinatorics and "advance" anything. On the other hand, if you're struggling with average problems, you are unlikely to see many of the topics you have listed.

So the focus should be on mastering the basics, or average problems, before you move toward "advance" topics.

Edited for spelling error.

Yes tough problems on these topics occur if you are doing good.
