12 different ice-cream flavors
10 kinds of candies
8 kinds of liquid toppings
5 different kind of nuts
If a customer is going to make exactly one selection from each of the categories written above, then possible ice-cream sundaes that can be created = $$12\cdot10\cdot8\cdot5=4800$$
Since we can have the sundae with or without whipped cream there is additional two possible ways for all the previous selections

Therefore,
Greatest possible no of ice-cream sundaes a customer can create =
$$4800\cdot2=9600$$ $$Answer\ is\ Option\ A$$
