Is 30 a factor of n?

1. 30 is a factor of n^2
2. 30 is a factor of 2n

The OA is the option A.

I think the answer should be C. Why is A? Could anyone clarify this to me? Thanks in advance. <i class="em em-pray"></i>

We have to determine whether 30 a factor of n.

Let's take each statement one by one.

1. 30 is a factor of n^2.

Since 30 = 2*3*5 (no two prime factors), 30 must be a factor of n, else n would not be an integer. Sufficient.

2. 30 is a factor of 2n.

If n = 15, the answer is No; however, if n = 30, the answer is Yes. No unique answer. Insufficient.

The correct answer: A
