Each and Every when used as Pronouns they are always singular .

In the above cases Every is used as Pronoun and subject of the sentence and will take singular verb .

Ex : Each dog HAS paws .

Every dog and cat HAS paws . (compound subject)

Each of the shirts IS red .

So when a sentence is preceded by Each / Every the verb needs to be singular.

Hence Every thirty-two pupils now has one computer is correct.
"Know thyself" and "Nothing in excess"
