38- If p1 and p2 are the population and r1 and r2 are the number of Representative of District 1 and District 2, respectively, the ratio pf the population to the number of Representative is greater for which of the two district>
(1) p1 > p2
(2) r2 > r2
Note: I know the question is asking for the ratio for p1 / r1 or p2/r2 and is it greater? I have trouble to understand how to solve algebraically statement 1 and 2. My questions is there a way to use picking number and how would you do it for both statement??
72- Is x >y ?
(1) x=y +2
(2) x/2 = y -1
Note: I Understand Statement (1) but my questions is for statement (2) x/2=y-1 can you say it the same if you did
x=2y-2 then you how would you use it if you want to pick number can prove if the statement is sufficient or not? Please explain in detail.
