A park is in the form of a 5*6 grid(each box is of equal area). At the center of the park, two grids form a pond. The area of the pond is 500 m sq. What is the area of the park?
A 500
B 2500
C 25000
D 75000
E 80000

Let the side of pond be "x"

2 grids form the pond

Area of pond : 2x *x =500

x^2=250

Area of park :

6x * 5x

=30x^2

=30 * 250

=7500

I am getting 7500 . whats the OA?

5x6 grid = 30 units=park
2 units=pond=500

2 units pond/30 units park= 500/x
x = area of park=7500

lol...(I was making question unnecessarily complicated....)
for this question,it took 1.5 minutes to understand the question and 15 seconds to solve it
500/2=250

250*3=75.....what ever ....D
