is 620 really hopeful less score to apply any descend graduate school? i scored 48 in maths and 28 in verbal (really bad, possibly because i rushed a few questions in the end) i am applying local school where i graduate, nus and ntu mfe program in Singapore. what you think?

Find you from the schools (that you're applying for) whether 620 is sufficient to get an admit.

thanks for advice. generally i like to know from admission officer point of view, does 620 show significant incompetency from 700? i want to know this 80 gap really a big differentiator.

Bro don't loose hope. You should have another try. Take some time to prep again and have a retake. A 650 score will definitely help you in getting admission to mid tier schools.

thanks for you all reply.

I am actually applying for their MFE(financial engineering) program. their average score is 680 although they don't put minimum score. I feel improving my score is really difficult. because there is nothing to improve in math and for verbal, my score fluctuate a lot. in the prep exam, sometimes i got only 6 wrong in verbal and sometimes i got 4 consecutive wrong ans, which i heard cause free fall for your score.

I will pass FRM level 2 this Nov and apply with 620 score, otherwise i will retake.

thanks everyone
