Regarding retaking of test

by rahulmunot » Wed May 14, 2014 5:31 pm
Hello,
I have given my gmat examination twice and have scored 510 and 620(latest). I have 2 years of work experience till date. As a result I have applied to 5 b-schools this year and had not received admits from where I wanted. Hence, I wanted to ask if retaking the test will help bolster my chances next I mean with 3 years of work experience and a more improved gmat score or even without taking it I may get a goog school(ranking 21-50)?
And if I give the test again, that means the 3rd time won't that affect my chances?
please provide some advice.

Hi rahulmunot,

You should post this in the Admissions Sub-Forum (on this site). The experts there should be able to offer some perspective on your situation. It's important to note that there's more to an application than just your GMAT score and work experience, so it might be that your application got "stuck" on some other issue.

Since Business Schools really don't care how many times you take the GMAT, taking the test for a third time won't hurt your application.
