510 Q39 V21 :: The GMAT beat me today !! :(

by iwibeit2 » Sat Sep 15, 2007 10:54 am
Yes, just gave the GMAT today and it beat me.. and it stung ! :(

I wasn't really confident to begin with, but I just wanted to get over with it. I had postponed my exam thrice due to work issues, insufficient preparation, personal commitments etc but nahhh, these excuses just sound lame now. I don't think I lived up to the challenge. I didn't deliver. I just took it to be toooo easy ! Had no direction, and no game plan !

In efforts to improve, I have joined this forum today and plan to be an active member henceforth. I plan to take the GMAT again in 3 months - Jan 1st mostly !

I don't wanna write out a debrief out here, coz it won't really help anyone. :P All I would like to say is that guys, 'ain't no mountain high enough', but you gotta make sure you are upto the challenge or will just fall flat on your face, like I did !

I would really apreciate it you guys could provide some tips/advice/guidance to begin my 'new phase' which I call 'IWIBEIT2'.

I already have these books but I need to figure out a plan !

~ Kaplan
~ OG- Verbal
~ OG- Quant

Is there any other reference material. Guys please help !!

I will share my study plan with the forum later coz I would love to see some feedback on it as well.

Finally, I end this post with the hopes that I will put up a post in January with a Subject :: 720 - I beat it guys !

I will beat it too !!

Hi iwibeit2,

Welcome to BTG, I am sure that in 3 months time we will have a thread on how u did beat the GMAT, 3 months of sustained and planned studies is enuf to do that.

The first thing you need to do is get good quality study material, apart from your list i would suggest you to take a look at the Manhattan guides (also BTG members have a special discount from manhattan).

The second thing you need to do is make a list of your strengths and weakness and then start working on those weakness.

Hope to see a more active participation from your side on the forum.

Regards :)
