I bombed my GMAT

So, I didn't know there was a practice GMAT until after I took it. I knew that I needed to practice the test at least once in order to know how to answer and how to study. So with absolutely no knowledge or studying or anything at all, I took it and got a horrid score (which I knew I would get, so it isn't heart-breaking). I got a 340. Now that I know what the GMAT looks like, I need to know how to study. I am going to be taking it again in August, because I need to apply to my schools by the end of September. So how do I study? I am really bad, and my quantitative score was horrible; I haven't done this stuff in years! I am looking into NJIT and Fairleigh Dickinson for MBA and Rutgers for MHRM, any suggestions on that either?

Your story is quite common. A lot of students try taking the test "cold" only to learn that beating the GMAT is not easy.

Prep-wise, you might consider signing up for BTG's free 60-Day Study Guide (https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide).

When i deicded to start studying for GMAT the first thing i did was to type 'GMAT preparations' in google and join this community. Before i start studying anything for exam i booked a test date (dec 2013)

. I decided to take an practice exam that i got for free after booking for the exam so that i get a baseline score. I was expecting the worst score possible for me as i took it without properly going through the exam structure and studyig anything. I got a ground shattering 300 :0, but i know i am going to improve a on this, and personally i have st a target of 650 in actual exam.

I have started studying from the Manhattan strategy guide as my main study material along with the official guide.
