While studying did you study multiple both verbal and quant at the same time?

I am trying to work on a strategy, but can't seem to find one that works well yet.

At the beginning I studied Math and verbal separately. But once I covered the fundamentals I started practicing both each day. This will help you to tune your mind to the actual GMAT.

Whenever I had found a weakness(say SC) I spent one or two days completely on it.

Try to avoid the following mistakes:

-Mindlessly doing a number of problems without focusing/analyzing the question types.
-Taking more than one practice test per week (try to prepare a plan for each practice test. ie, what you would do to perform better in a practice test)
-Spending a lot of time in multiple forums - reading hundreds of posts (use these as a guide, not a complete study plan by itself)
