Hi Everyone,
I wanted to write a quick note, as I just returned from the testing center. A bit over a month ago I scored a 650. My preparation for the first exam included about 2 1/2 months of preparation including MGMAT class, approx 15 hrs/week studying (plus MGMAT 6 practice exams plus 2 GMATprep). The highest I ever scored on a practice exam was 650 on a MGAMT. When I took my first exam, I knew that I could have prepared somewhat more; however, I felt as though I needed some sort of solid test score to see if I indeed needed to study more. I told myself, 650 or higher, I wouldn't retake. Well, as you can see, I scored a 650, and after thinking it over for a couple of days, I decided that I should at least give it another shot. What made the difference the second time around? I took 2 weeks off completely from studying. Then I focused really on the OG and the GMAT prep tests, looking up each of my incorrect answers from the GMAT prep on beatthegmat.
I would say that I studied about 25% as much this time around as prior to the first, but I was much more relaxed and everything seemed to make more sense. Actually this past week I've been on vacation, and only studied on my flights plus some light review yesterday.
TAKE AWAYS: Relax (esp if you've already taken it once before), try again, and use your OG and beatthegmat to look up problems you missed on the GMATprep exams.
Best of luck!!!
