Gave GMAT this morning, got a 730
Was kind of disappointed with my Quant score. Also on the final score was hoping for 750, but I guess thats part of the standard deviation.
Actual Exam:
Quant was tough !
From the 7th question started getting difficult questions,
Spend too much time in the middle of the exam verifying answers and had to guess on the last 4 questions.
Got a lot of questions on reminders and standard deviation.
Verbal was nothing special, exam was very similar to the GMAT prep. In fact felt as if I got a small science passage at exactly the same point (#7) as in GMAT PREP. I got 3 Science passages and only one business passage.
SC were easy, lot of SC seemed to be based on Clarity (Manhattan 3C). So before you go looking for errors, it may be useful to determine if you understand the meaning of the sentence.
In CR, got atleast 3 questions of 'complete the passage' format. Never seen these questions anywhere but they were easy and I dont think I got any wrong. No bold lines questions anywhere.
Had plenty of time on Verbal and really relaxed on my last 10 questions.
PREP:
OG All (Did each and every question)
Verbal did twice, tracked wrong ones and reviewed 3-4 times
Manhattan SC (I know the stuff here like back of my hand)
Kaplan, PR (Too basic, not of much help after a while)
I did not practice on any other problem besides the OG, the quality of problems available in all the other books is really bad
Instead, practiced using the LSAT material
LSAT (If you leave out the passages directly related to law can be useful for RC practice, Also did a lot of CR from LSAT)
PRACTICE EXAMS:
GMATPREP3 : 760 (Only about 4-5 questions were repeat)
GMATPREP2: 740
GMATPREP1: 750
MGMAT6:750
PR4: 690
MGMAT5: 750
(Above from last 4 weeks)
MGMAT4:760
MGMAT3:690
MGMAT2:650
Kaplan1: 640 (Was devastated and just gave up on Kaplan)
MGMAT1:710 (Untimed)
Take aways:
Manhattan GMAT SC is pure gold
Manage time esp if you want to score more than 700
give yourself more time on the difficult questions
All in all I am glad its over.
I hope this score takes me to INSEAD.

"Target Test Prep is the closest to the official version of the GMAT exam, about 99% accuracy in terms of the quality and quantity of information. The course has excellently created singular sets of focused lessons and tests for every possible topic that one could come across in the official GMAT exam."
"The TTP course maximizes the efficiency of the time you spend studying. It will take time and effort but I could almost guarantee that if you complete the course exactly as it is laid out you will get an amazing score. They also have a very responsive team willing to help with any questions you might have."
"TTP has two things that I think no other test prep company offers: A teaching approach that reinforces understanding and an attitude that will give you the mental preparedness needed to succeed on the test. TTP gives you a deep understanding of the concept you need to know while teaching you how to think."
