May Success Stories?

by tennisdiva » Sun May 09, 2010 3:39 pm
I'm taking my test next week. So far on both this forum and GMATClub, I've seen a lot of posts recently about how hard the GMAT was and how they didn't achieve their target score! I've scored well on the GMATPreps which people have said is a good indicator, but now I'm seeing several posts say the actual test is nothing like it. Could it be that this month's problems are harder? If you scored well or similar to what you scored on the GMATPrep this month, please post! Doesn't need to be a debrief - just a line or two to make the other May test takers feel better!

Took the GMATTlast Saturday, May 8.
My preparation was based solely on the official test books (GMAT Review) and the material posted on this site (which by the way it is GREAT!)
Till the day of the exam, the highest score I ever got on preparation tests was 720, just last Wednesday. Most of the tests that I have gone through were scored between 640 and 680.
Since I am targeting top-rank schools, I thought that a 700+ is a must.
And yes.... I did it!!!! I scored 720 (Q 50, V 38).
I think that this is good enough to help me get to one of the top MBA programs.
Good luck to the rest May test takers.

Hi there,
I found the test to be more difficult than the GMAT Preps I'd taken (I retook GMATPrep 1 and 2 a few times and also did PowerPrep.) I found verbal to be equal, but found quant to be much harder.

Good luck!
