3rd take-is it worth?

by youngandrestless » Thu Apr 03, 2008 7:23 pm
Hi guys, on my first take I got 650 (Q=36,V=42). On my 2nd take I got 650(Q=47,V=31). The Q jumped 11 points and V dropped 11 points. Sum total same. I remeber losing focus during verbal section on 2nd time.

Between my 1st and 2nd take I really packed a punch with MGMAT prep. I got 730 on MGMAT6 and 760 on GMAC GMATII while preping.

I seem to think that I can put together the best of 1 and 2 and make it a Grand Finale (Q=47 and v=42). Is it worth it though?

Also, does anybody have any idea if schools will consider my strengths by looking at 2 different scores?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance

There are different aspects to consider. Unless you are very confident of increasing the score, I would suggest you not take the exam again. If you end up scoring 650 or lesser, it may reflect to the school that you were not able to judge your potential on the exam. (may not be the actual case though)

Further look at the score with your target score. If 650 is good enough for the school you apply, then why take the trouble?
