Hi Friends,
I just registered on BTG today to tell my story. I definitely need some advice!!!!
I started GMAT Prep one and half years ago and have taken GMAT twice.
June 27th 2011 - 580 ( Q 47 V 21)
Oct 10th 2011 - 560 ( Q 42 V 25)
As I am preparing for last 18-20 months I have exhausted almost all the materials which I have or purchased
. Below is the list ( I hate to mention the list as after doing all these material also, my score has not even crossed 600 mark
:()
"¢ Kaplan Premier and Verbal 800, and Kaplan QBank
"¢ Grockit, MGMAT tests.
"¢ OG12 and OG Verbal review
"¢ Aristotle SC Grail. MGMAT SC guide.
"¢ Somewhat Powerscore CR bible.
My mock tests of MGMAT and GMATPrep were good and I scored in the range of 640 to 700 ( 700 only in one MGMAT !!. Finished all verbal questions of Kaplan QBank with overall 76% accuracy
.I was hoping a score in the same range in actual GMAT also.
I really don't know whether I should go for third attempt or not!!. Not sure why on actual GMAT scores are not even crossing 600 for me!!. Either GMAT is very unpredictable or i am missing something very important in my Prep and i know its the latter case here. But i cant figure out what that i am missing here!!
I still have that lil bit of urge not to accept the failure and again try for a 700+ score; however I have lost that fire inside after today and thinking who knows what will happen on test day in the third attempt!!!
Moreover, as I just read that b-schools are not interested in students who have taken GMAT again and again (https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2010/03/ ... g-the-gmat ), so even if I take GMAT for third time ( thinking positively of the best result (which is 700+ for me ) ), it will be good and fruitful journey for my applications or not!!!
Please help and suggest what I should do.
