Attempted to beat the GMAT today...but failed miserably!! Well, here's my part of the story. As suggested by many people in BTG forums, I decided to keep my cool yesterday and did not study much (I guess even if I would have studied, it would have hardly made any difference though). Was very well prepared to tame the bull and confidently started my day today. The argument and issue went really smoothly.
Got the first quant question correct and started my leap towards tougher questions...I must say...I got some really tough ones, but cracked them with a little extra effort. Utilised the scheduled breaks wisely by doing some stretching exercises. Was all set for verbal...this is where all the problem started...was bowled over by the first RC and spent around 10 minutes...I had just answered 7 questions while the timer showed 55. I started drowning thereafter...answered the CRs and SCs well. But had to wrap up early by guessing on the 3rd RC. With just 5 minutes left...I had to answer 8 questions...took my time and answered 2, but had to guess the remaining questions and I guess that I had guessed them wrong! Hoped to see atleast a 6 in the hundreds place of my score but that just remained a hope.
I think I failed because I did manage my time well...need to really work on the timing now. I know that this is just a bend and not the end. I will surely contribute to BTG now unlike a mere onlooker who would just read the posts without contributing. I guess sometimes failure teaches you more than success.
