I wont ask what actually you got ! ...But do you mean to say questions were on some concepts or topics which was not covered at all in books by any prep company ?

Questions would have been tough but scope would still be the same as earlier i believe.

yes thats exactly what i'm saying. for example: none of the books covered combination permutation and all of a sudden you get permutation and combination. not like weighted average cuz thats just algebra. i guess u can say combination and permutation is just counting but thats really stretching it.

just wondering if gmac is throwing new things out there in response to how well test prep companies prepare people. kinda like work-rate problems. once everyone figures out how to do them they are pretty easy. from what i know those used to be very popular.

The Manhattan word translation book contains combination and permutations. I just covered it last night.

i was merely using that as an example of how surprise i was ie to demonstrate how "strange" it was to me. if u never seen perm and combo and then u saw it on the test then that would surprise the hell out of u.

that was my reaction when i saw some of the problems on there. i took it 5 days ago.

i know combo and perm is in the test. just wondering if others felt the same way. just trying to gauge if i got the unlucky draw or the test itself is changing before our eyes and the test prep companies havent caught on yet.

i guess moral of the story here is when u see strange things and u are well prepared stick to ur 2 minute rule. i didnt and i got the lowest quant score that i have ever gotten, lower than my diagnostic. i guessed the last 4 questions.
