Hello everyone I need help from all you people. I just attempted the GMAT andy score is a mere 410 v17 and q31. I have no idea what went wrong, I was getting a average of 460 on my mocks. To be honest I just need a 540 to get in the school I applied. I have been using the princeton review book set and og13. I have one more chance to attempt next month. So the big question is if I can make to 540 in a months time? Please help. Thnaks.
Hi ddlj42,
You haven't provided much information in your post, but if you can answer a few questions, then I'll be happy to advise:
1) How long did you study?
2) How did you score on each of your practice CAT tests (include your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
3) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT every time (or did you skip the Essay and/or IR sections)?
4) Did you use any GMAT resources besides the books that you listed?
5) When is the latest that you can schedule your next GMAT?
While Test Day was a disappointment, the good news is that Business Schools don't care if you take the GMAT more than once. Also, since the GMAT is a standardized, predictable exam, you CAN train to crush it (or at the very least, score higher). You'll likely have to invest in some new GMAT materials, learn (and practice) some new tactics and continue to work hard, but many people have faced similar challenges and conquered them.
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
