Hey guys,
I just took the gmat today and scored poorly on the Verbal section :(
I wonder if any of u guys have experienced the same situation, and how did u overcome that?
I'm an international student, so, I guess Math is my strength but Verbal otherwise is my weakness.
I already got the Official gmat guidline and Kapplan. Any recommendations for good books?
Advices of any kinds are welcome!
Please help!!!

You seem to have a fantastic quant score and I think that if you're able to improve your Verbal score by another 15-16 points, you should be near the 700 mark. A score of 19 on the Verbal section indicates that you didn't prepare for Verbal the right way. This is not to say that you didn't put sufficient time. You might have. But putting sufficient time doesn't necessary guarantee that you will get a good score ,at least on the Verbal section . What you need to ensure is that you tackle each of the three areas on Verbal the right way. Go through the debrief of Paulrichards "Clueless how I got a 750". He's given the right way to approach each of the areas. It'd be better that instead of getting only one book for Verbal, you get books for each of the three areas so that you build up a strong foundation and know the concepts, strategies inside out.
