right choice is D

If you see choice E it mentions
although statistics clearly associates

but as statistics are plural we should use associate with it
so the right answer is D

rest all the choices are also wrong as relationship is singular and they use remain with it rather than remains

i went wrong assuming 'statistics' (Statistics) as a subject of study such as History. thank u.
