Hi all,

I had scheduled my exam on 9th Sept (Today) 2010 at 9 30 AM at Pune center, India.

The center is outsourced to some academy..and not a Perason Vue center...
I went in at 9 AM and the center was not opened when it was written on the form as come half an hour earlier...lol..

Some cleaning work was jst finished by support staff inside.. In fact...me n one another guy who was gonna write d exam opened the shutter of the exam center...
went inside...d guy came at 9 15 and the process started...
the process is
1. Show your passport... Sign one document (dat non disclosure doc). Put in all your stuff in locker...
2. Put in details on one more document.
3. Take the photograph
4. palm recognition...
N you are through... D admin person will take you to the computer room...
We were four people to give d exam. Pune center is small.. Only 4-5 can give exam in one slot..

This procedure was done for everybody n we all went inside...D person clicked on d software n error came...
Shuru ho gaya problem...Person said..Some Technical problem...Server/Network Problem..I ll call you inside after 10-15 minutes..
Half an hour went buy...D guy said again said..10-15 minutes... N we all got to know dat exam wont be possible today...
:(
The worst thing to happen..... It would have been great if the exam was done today itself... I would have got relaxed today...
I would have started studying Toefl...
Den d person asked to give d preferences for d exam slot so that they can reschedule... N den we were sure ki exam wont be possible today....

Now I have given d slot preference as 25th Sept 2010... Now this is gonna make me miss R1 rounds of most schools i m thinking to apply...I m absolutely livid with wat all has happened today...

I just hope that this is a blessing in disguise...
I just want to get a good score...

I would like to get suggestions from people as to what all i should do in next 15 days...
Also, if I am anyways gonna miss R1..den should i take more time n den take of arnd first week of Oct. I think I will be getting the option from GMAC as to when you wanna take a date....
My mock scores in Mgmat are
650
680 (this should be 700 as I left 2 quant questions unanswered)
660
710

Gmat prep scores are
710
690
720
660

Verbal scores are from 33 to 38...

Kaplan online scores are..
640
670
710
720
730

Please let me know...

I can only imagine how you'd be feeling right now, but as outreach said keep recharging your gmat skills and start looking at your target schools and stuff.
Btw, mine is on the 25th as well. Hopefully, we'll both have nice stories to share on 'I just beat the GMAT' on the 25th!
Good Luck!! :)
Being defeated is often only a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.

Thanks for your replies guys...

This is simply not happening..
the test center is supposed to generate the incidence report before eod.. but the center has not generated till now...
they are simply providing some weird reasons....
n d call center is saying we need a incidence report that can be a proof of something like this really happened...

So, 25th sept is still tentative..not confirmed...
