This was the section that I made the most number of mistakes in my initial prep. After going through Manhattan SC and solving the corresponding problems in OG, I could improve my accuracy from 40 - 50 % to 60 - 70 %. I had an opportunity to be an Alpha trial participant in https://e-gmat.com/home.php and it helped me in a great deal. I could improve my SC accuracy from 60 - 70 to about 90%. The approach to solve the SC problems and the clarity and depth of the concepts in https://e-gmat.com/home.php is unbeatable. Modifier and Verb tense SC problems were vague to me and I almost always got them wrong until I went through the detailed lessons on these sections in e-gmat.com which gave me a lot of clarity of concept and confidence. I would recommend e-gmat.com to anybody who would like to improve their SC accuracy.
Hi there - Not sure if you still visit BTG, hopefully you do :)
I am almost done with the e-GMAT course, and have attempted Level 3 UGE's recently. Since you have taken the course as well as the GMAT, could you tell me how similar the questions (difficulty level, concepts, etc) were to the questions you saw on the actual GMAT?
Being defeated is often only a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.

Thanks for the awesome post. Just curious on RC and your comment that had you done well, you could be scored around 40. In your practice tests, what was the ratio of correct to incorrect for CR/SC/RC. This data could help many of us.
Thanks Mason.

SC

Initial 40 - 50%
After studying Manhattan GMAT 60 - 70 %
After e-gmat 90%

CR

Initial 40-50%
After studying LSAT LR Bible(not in depth) around 75%

RC

Fluctuated between 50 to 80% and I guess in the actual GMAT, I would have scored only around 60%

Hey Magizhan,
Not sure if you still visit BTG, wanted to know how did you prepare for inequalities combined with modulus. I almost get all the DS questions of this type wrong and very few PS question I am able to tackle.
It would be great if you could help me with your strategy for the same.

Hi man,

Awesome score. In addition, Really nice and helpful debrief and appreciate it. Just want to add my personal idea about your score; I think with 700 you should start applying to any 10 b-schools as long as GMAT is not the only criteria(in your case 700 is more than even safe side!) to get admitted to any top b-school. You will get it man. Please don't blame on me, just wanted to share my own experience with you.

All The Best,

Congrats for the good score.. can you please tell me what was your strategy for bold face and method of reasoning questions. I always get these questions wrong. Also how did you tackle the difficult RC passages. I get only 1 out of 3 questions correct on difficult RC passage.
