What Prep tests do I need?

Hi guys -

I'm completely new to this test prep. Just read some successful test reviews and tips, and from them I found so many of you say that I need to take prep tests several times. I am eager to take one at this point to guage my weaknesses but don't have concrete idea on which prep tests I have to choose(veritas, MGMAT, Kaplan, etc.) and along the timeline which ones are recommended to take first and next, etc.

Could any of you advise?

(Any detailed info is also welcome, such as which prep test is good for time management skills, and which one for quatitative sections, etc.)

MGMAT is good because of it's solid reporting system. You'll get strong data on your timing, question difficulty level, and areas of strength and weakness. Having this data is a good way to start studying, because it'll be easier for you to structure a study plan.

After you're comfortable with the basics, I'd take the first GMATPrep test. This is from the makers of the official test, so it's the most reliable assessment of your abilities.
