Dear Kunal,

I think you have the foundation for a competitive application to any of those schools. However, you will present the most common profile in the applicant pool. As a result, you need to find a way to distinguish yourself and present a compelling application. I encourage you to add 1-2 backup schools to the mix--not because you won't get into one or your top choices, but because it is a prudent thing to do. These backup options will probably be in the top 25-40 range.

Good luck,
Lisa

Thanks Lisa. Appreciate your responce.

Keeping in mind the specilization that I want to go for (MBA Finance), I think I should also apply to University of Rochester (Simon) and Georgetown University (McDonough). Do you think I make a safe bet in these two?

Regards,
Kunal

Georgetown and Rochester are good programs and fine alternatives. If you really want to hedge your bets, you might also consider applying to a school in the 30-50 range like Washington University in St. Louis or Rice University.

Good luck,
Lisa
