Hello everyone,

My GMAT test date is on Dec. 23, 2010. I only have approximately 17 days to study and prepare for the test :( . I have been studying for about 2-3 months, but only rigorous preparing for the last 1 month (about 2 hours a night of studying). I have completed most of the Official GMAT guide book, and almost completed the questions on the OG quants review and verbal guide (2nd editions). I feel that as far as the questions in these OGs go, I am quite prepared for the test. BUT, the questions simply don't seem like they are "challenging." I am not saying I've mastered all of the concepts, and there are still questions that I need to review, but I have not looked at some of the MOST challenging questions that other people talk about, like the Manhattan GMAT challenge questions. Since I only have 17 more days, I was going to practice some more problems and completely finish doing all the OG questions, and then simply start doing practice GMAT exams for the last two weeks. I am planning to buy the Manhattan GMAT 6 practice online tests, which also comes with challenging questions sets.

Sorry for the long description, but my question comes now. With only 17 days left, do you guys feel that purchasing the Manhattan GMAT exams and practicing on the challenge questions will be worth it so late in the game? Will I honestly be able to grasp any of the concepts with so few days left? If not, then what course of action/study plan would you guys recommend for the last 17 days before the GMAT test?

I would REALLY REALLY appreciate any feedback because my aim is to score 760+ on the GMAT and I am very anxious!!

I think you should definitely do a few mock tests before the test date.

Schedule one in the next few days, see your score and identify your weaknesses. Then, work hard on those weaknesses before you proceed to the next test.

I don't really know your timing issues i.e. how much time you are able to dedicate to the GMAT prep but doing some extra mock tests before your test date can only serve as a benefit- it the mock tests prove that you are not close to your target score perhpas you can re-schedule the exam.
