So after my first attempt on the GMAT and receiving a mediocre score of 660, I pretty much inhaled as many of these forum posts as I could. I got myself a copy of the Aristotle SC Grail (more like my verbal grail), bought the extra 5 practice CAT exams from MGMAT, and got to work. I won't go into too much detail but I'll just say that I mainly focused on improving my verbal score and just used the MGMAT CAT as sufficient practice for the quant. Here's a list of my scores on the practice CAT's and actual exam.

GMAT Prep
CAT 1: Q47 V35 680
CAT 2: Q49 V33 670

MGMAT
CAT 1: Q45 V34 650
CAT 2: Q47 V33 660
CAT 3: Q45 V36 670
CAT 4: Q42 V44 710
CAT 5: Q45 V41 710
CAT 6: Q47 V40 710

Actual GMAT
First Write: Q46 V35 660 81%
Second Write: Q49 V38 720 94%

I gotta say that I agree with everyone on the MGMAT quantitative section in which it is probably harder than the actual GMAT and although I think I could have done a little better in the verbal section, I'm pretty happy with my score. So to summarize, for people who are having difficulty with SC, use Aristotle SC Grail because it's concise and easy to use and if you're comfortable with the MGMAT quantitative sections, then you're pretty much good to go for the actual GMAT quant.
