Hi all! I just took the GMAT (8am-noon) today and I am SO happy to be done. I used this site a lot to prepare, so thank you for all your incredible advice.
Now I need some help. I got my unofficial score report and I am confused. I got a 710 overall (92nd percentile). My scaled scores were 47 (quant), and 41 (verbal).
However, it says my percentile for math was 78, for verbal was 92, and overall my percentile was 92. How does that work? I thought I did much better in math than in verbal, and I am confused how a 78 and 92 create a total percentile ranking of 92. Thoughts?
Also, I got a 710 and 720 in GMATprep, should I consider retaking? I want to go to a top five school, and it helps that I have a very high GPA from a prestigious undergrad. Is 710 going to hurt my chances?
THANKS for any thoughts
