Hello,
I am looking for some guidance on applying to the LSE's MSc in Management and Strategy for 2011, and hoping to get some insights on what my chances are for admission.
I have over 5 years of professional experience in communications and strategy at a development-based organization of the United Nations in Rome, Italy. A large part of my experience lies in project management, including a re-branding and, and sharing news and updates with a range of stakeholders which include donors, NGOs, IGOs, intl research institutions, etc. As of June, I have been a Rome-based freelance communications and marketing consultant, developing strategy for both profit and non-profit clients. I am American and speak English, French and Italian.
The aspect that I think could hinder my acceptance would be my cumulative GPA which is a 2.9. I am scheduled to take the GRE soon, so do not yet have the scores for those. My goal is to focus on marketing at LSE and expand my experience from communications strategy to more of a business strategy, by working as a marketing manager for a large development institution like Oxfam.
Are there any admissions counselors out there that could lend me any advice?
Thanks so much
L
