Where to Start?

I just started planning to give GMAT and I'm confused as where to start? Choose a Course first? Country first? College first? or WHAT? Till date I'm only sure that I will do MBA in EU, and EU alone. Suggest any ideas or links! Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Worry about the GMAT first. Then take the rest of it as it comes. Without the GMAT, you can't really pick schools (because you won't really know if you have a shot) and if you can't figure out what level of school to target, then you can't decide which fit you best. So, first things first, crush the GMAT. Then let's talk :).

Along with GMAT preparation think about your career goals both long term and short term, which sector you want to get into post MBA. It looks you are focusing on European region then research about the B-schools which are the best fit for your MBA aspirations. Beyond just taking the GMAT and seeing how well you do, you can ask yourself:

Do I actually need an MBA? then What will I do post MBA?

What will I do post-MBA?
Based on what you will do and where you will work post-MBA, it will be more or less difficult for you to pay your loans. So you may be limited as to where you can do an MBA.

Taking those two factors into account can seriously help you narrow things down. If you can't afford to pay 60k a year for an MBA in the US then you know you are limited in that sense. Some schools will likewise appeal to you more based on your post-MBA career goal. Finally your GMAT score will dictate which schools you can't apply to...further narrowing things down.
