I prepared for about two months solid (with a full time job and two young kids though). I concentrated more on verbal since I have good analytical background (or so I thought!). I studied Manhattan GMAT and the official guide. I was pleasantly surprised with my score since that's the highest I ever got including my practice tests. I was aiming for 680-700, so can't complain. Below are my test scores:

Manh1 660 46(Q) 34(V)
Manh2 640 42(Q) 36(V)
Manh3 660 45(Q) 35(V)
Manh4 650 41(Q) 38(V)
Manh5 650 44(Q) 35(V)
GMAC1 710 49(Q) 38(V)
Manh6 640 41(Q) 36(V)
GMAC2 710 49(Q) 38(V)
GMAT 730 49(Q) 41(V)

If I had to give one advise, I would say practice, practice and then practice some more. All the practice tests I took were full length tests and I took them during the same time of the day as my actual GMAT. I felt pretty comfortable and confident because of this on the big day.

Good luck!
