Powerscore CR bible

I know that this book has been voted the best for CR, but it has so many rules that require memorization. Has anybody experienced a jump in their CR hit rate because of this book. If yes, how did it help? I have definitely noticed a reasonable difference in my SC it rate by reading manhattan's SC guide. But CR hasn't improved.
200 or 800. It don't matter no more.

I'm one of the most fervent supporters of the PowerScore CR Bible, so you might want to take my word with a grain of salt...

But what I've noticed is this: the CR Bible gives you tons of tips and such, but you're only supposed to memorize a few (if any). I woudn't waste my time with everything in the book, but I would browse and note everything that's hitting my weak spots in CR.

I personally DID feel a pretty consistent improvement in CR after this book. Plus, after reading it, I just instantly understood why I was getting a funny feeling about the Kaplan CR questions: their quality is not the same!

I'm getting weird results depending on which practice test I take. I will kill the Barron's CR and do poorly on Kaplan's. Can someone compare and contrast the CR Bible vs MGMAT CR book?

I'll get all the books of MGMAT within a week. So if I read those book I can give you a review of it:D

Someone mentioned Barron's... Please stay away from that book! It's just filled with errors... I wouldn't recommend it to my biggest foes...

To answer yogami's question: Kaplan's CR is not as clear-cut as GMAT CR, IMHO. Their answers are debatable and I could have surely formulated better questions myself. It's not that it's not worth a try, but their questions are not 100% GMAT-styled, so to speak. Sometimes the connections they implied were really off the charts! I personally would never have thought of so many steps of reasoning in order to get to some of their answers... They just go a tad bit too far!

To improve CR you might try some Logical Reasoning problems from the LSAT. These problems tend to be more difficult and often provide better practice.
