Should I reschedule my GMAT?

Hey Guys

I have my GMAT test scheduled on the 25th of JUNE. The glitch is that I am aiming 650 and I am still currently seating on 600.As I have taken my first two GMAT preps ever in last two days and scored 590(44,27) and 610 (48,27) on each of them.
Timing issues in first one and then silly mistakes in second.

Should I reschedule? or its worth a shot after working on some different strategies?

I was aiming to submit my application to business school here before the end of round 2,which is 27th of june.

Any suggestion please?

Hi Jazzman,

Before choosing whether or not to reschedule your GMAT, it's important to assess if your first goal is a requirement to fulfill your second goal. In basic terms, would you be comfortable submitting your application IF you didn't score at least 650 on the GMAT?

Since you just recently took your first CATs, you don't have much practical experience in facing the full-length exam. Taking the CATs on back-to-back days was not a good idea, since you didn't have much time to review and do additional practice between exams (the general advice is to take 1 CAT/week with the bulk of your time spent on practice and review) - it's not much of a surprise that your scores were similar because you didn't put in the necessary practice to see a big score improvement.

The good news is that Business Schools don't care if you take the GMAT more than once, so you can stick with your current Test Date and see what happens. If you score high enough, then you can submit your application as planned. If you don't score high enough, then you can adjust your plans from there.

You have enough time to get in 2 more CATs before your GMAT, so I'd suggest that you try to make them as Test-like as possible (take the entire CAT, in a test-like environment, etc.).
