Yikes...horrible CAT Score! Need advice!

by MissTee » Mon Oct 04, 2010 12:51 pm
I am currently enrolled in a Manhattan GMAT prep course that just started last week. I took my first CAT exam (practice test) today and OMG...my score was 390!!! Yikes! Im devasted! I know a lot of it is my timing and I really need to be freshened up on my math skills. Also, I got pretty slow on the Verbal section as well because I pretty much had to guess the last 5 questions, and totally ran out of time on the very last one. This has definitely motivated me to go harder on my studying. I plan to take the GMAT in December...what should be my action plan moving forward to improve? Have there been cases where someone has been this low and made a significant improvement? Im starting to feel a litttle bit discouraged...im hoping the GMAT course will save the day!

Visit the Forums > I just beat the GMAT section. It will have all the advice/inspiration possible in your situation.

Basically, More practice = better scores. Don't be disheartened, most start small in the GMAT world.

Thank you so much for your feedback, and I will be sure to check out that forum! Like you said, I definitely need more practice...mainly under time constriction! The good thing is I am enrolled in a prep course, so Im hoping to make the best out of it! Hopefully I'll have more positive results later! Again, thanks for the feedback!!!
