Well.. i practiced for 3 months. I was only aiming for something around 650 n above. Did only the OG 10 and 11. In the GMATpreps i wud get around Q39 and V30. So, i felt i had a scope for + or - 5 points in de actual GMAT and finally gave it. I got Q29 and V35 with a 530.
I had this itchiness towards the quant for a long time. Though, i liked the way the questions were structured, sometimes, i had a feeling it wud kinda let me down during the actual test(which actually became true). I did time the practice, review wrong ans. and stuffs. Actually, i committed the GRAVE SIN of not marking the answer choice for the final Q. In fact i was just clicking away the last 5 to 7 questions with panic and fingers crossed!!
And that did it.!!
.. Anyways, i knew i screwed my quant, but thought ll give my best shot in Verbal .. and tatz how 35 in Verbal. The Qs in the actual test were bit more at a higher difficulty level than the preps. I kinda panicked in the Quant. May be becuz i was waiting for this day for around 2 yrs.
In the preps, The problem was that i would get 2 or 3 or 4 answers wrong continuosly in the preps which i couldn't help much. and this brings down the score to Q39!
In the preps, i jus couldn't understand why the score wasn't going above Q39 and V30. It was something like a blackmagic!! i mean, i saw the same scores in 2 diff. prep tests!! duh... i know timing is very important in GMAT. I would give 2 or max 3 mins for Q questions. Eventhough i used to get around 16 incorrect in the preps, someone who got same 16 incorrect got a Q44. Strange!! I think a lot depends on one's confidence during the actual test!
I am thinking of practicing with Kaplan 800 or premier!! U guys have any ideas? Pl. pop it out n some motivation wud defntly help
u guys know any other good prep test software like the Gmat prep? I am planning for another date with my destiny by the end of feb. or untill i get a >650 score in the preps. And, i know i can make it !!
Should i go for Kaplan Math workbook? I mainly want to practice only quant. Or the Kaplan premier? or manhattan??
Somebody.. help.. Me..plz... Mr. VP Jim.. Mr. BEATtheGMAT.. Stacey hello....!!!
