Data Sufficiency Help

by lsampaioemel » Sun Oct 07, 2012 7:29 am
Hi everyone,
I am reaching out to you for some help regarding Data Sufficiency questions. I have been practicing and practicing the Math modules and have been getting more comfortable with the concepts. Unfortunately my performance has not improved at the data sufficiency questions. I understand how they work, and i fully understand the theory behind this kind of problem, but I have not been able to feel more comfortable with these questions.

having said that, I was wondering if you had any ideas for this? I downloaded some sets of problems but they seem so easy compared the ones on the practice tests. Do you have any overall feedback regarding this? Any specific sets of problems? any tips on how to tackle these questions more strategically? I feel as if I improve on these questions my GMAT score will improve significantly.

Thanks you so much!

Don't worry - everyone struggles with Data Sufficiency questions at first. It's a question type that's totally unique to the GMAT, so it's foreign territory.

I recommend that you go on a DS-only "diet" and fully immerse yourself in this question type. Check out the DS forum (https://www.beatthegmat.com/data-sufficiency-f7.html ), and watch how the experts tackle DS questions.
