- GMAT Score:640
well as the headline says this time gmat did beat me, I had had two scores of more than 700 before I took the test so was feeling fairly confident. The material that I used is:
OG 11
OG supplements
Kaplan
MGMAT Test and SC book
GMAT Focus
Misc notes
The scores from my practice tests are:
MGMAT Free test- Q42 V30- 590
MGMAT 1- Q44 V30- 600
MGMAT 2- Q47 V36- 680
MGMAT 3- Q45 V34- 650
MGMAT 4- Q45 V34- 650
MGMAT 5- Q45 V32- 630
MGMAT 6- Q45 V36- 670
GMAT Prep 1- Q48 V40- 710
GMAT Prep 2- Q42 V45- 720
Kaplan tests- 590 and 570 not sure of breakup
On test day I though maths section was horrid and I was exepcting a much lower score but was pleasantly surprised to see a 46. However, I felt the verbal was ok, it didn't seem too difficult and I finished about 10 mins before time and was shocked to find my score of 34!! All I can say is the MGMAT tests were more accurate than the Gmat Prep for me.
I have picked up the pieces, got over the depression and am now refocusing on the test on Dec 11 that I have scheduled. I am also looking at applying for teh second round so will have to work on the applications and gmat at the same ti9me which will be challenging but then such is life!!
If anyone can share any strategies on how they improved their verbal scores I'll be grateful. My weak areas are RC and SC.
Thanks and Good luck to everyone!!
