Dear All

I got 710 (Q47 and V40). I would like to thank everyone for helping me achieve this score. We may never see each other in life but my where ever I go I will be grateful to the founder of beatthegmat.com and also its selfless users.

This was my second attempt. I get 670 in my previous attempt (screwed Quant here also :() . Though I got 770 and 760 in my first attempts of the 2 gmatprep tests, i screwed up in Quant section on the exam day. My problem was I spent way too much time in the first 15 questions. Had to guess the last 7-8 :( .

Anyway my learnings on the path to GMAT are as follows :

1. Two of the most important things in GMAT - Process of Elimination and Focus while giving the exam. Use POE as much as possible especially in the Verbal section.

Stay focused. I messed up my Quant section but it was because I stood focused and did not let that bother me. I could do well in the Verbal and crossed the magic figure of 700.

2. OG and GmatPrep are the best resources. Know 'how' every question is solved. Record every mistake and never make it again. Give GmatPrerp Exams 2-3 times.

3. For RC use a document by GIN. it is the best resource available. I have uploaded it also. Would also like to thank GIN for the same. :D

4. For people who want to have just started GMAT preparations, you may want to refer to the Princeton. But please remember it will take you to about 650 not more than that.

5. use GMAT_Verbal_Notes_By_Sumit for verbal. They are very good and nicely organized.I have uploaded it in my post.

6. 1000's are great for verbal. not very good for quant.

7. Use Forums as much as possible and especially if you want to solve difficult questions.

8. For AWA I did not study much. Just looked at about 7-8 questions from the PDF of analysis of issue and analysis of the argument. M waiting for the results of AWA now.

9. Finally and once again use poe as much as possible and don't lose focus.

One again thank you everyone. You people are the best :D.

My dream is to go to Stanford GSB. I hope with your wishes i get through even when my score is not very high... if you need any help please mail me at [email protected] would love to help you all. I will also be an active member of beatthegmat from now onwards.

Regards and best wishes
Yash Sharma
