at what point do you give up on a question?

I took a practice MGMAT exam yesterday amid very loud noises outside so I wasn't in my best condition. My quant section I only got 40. I was struggling to finish the exam and had to guess on 2-3 toward the end.

Looking at the questions I got wrong, there were some questions that I had spent 4:27, 5:20, 3:26, and 3 minutes on. Just wondering if instead I should have given up and moved on rather than trying to answer them.

If it takes you more than 1:20 to find something that you can "cling" on to, then take an educated guess and move on. If you have absolutely no clue about how to answer a question and can't have to settle for an "un-educated" guess, then:
- pick the middle value: if you have answer choices "2, 5, 6, 9, 10" pick 6
- in DS pick D since I understand it's the most common answer choice (sadly, by a small margin, of course) for this type of problems
