one thing you ought to try in the last week or two before the test is my OPENERS DRILL.
in this drill, you hammer through about 100 o.g. quant problems per hour, and just specify how you would START the problem. that's right - you don't actually go all the way through the problem, you just start it and move on. you see, more than half the battle against gmat math problems is won or lost right at the beginning of the problem: if you're off to a solid beginning, you'll probably do well on the problem, and, if you falter and take over a minute even to start the problem, you probably won't do so well.
this is especially important in your case, because you're going to get nailed with difficult problem after difficult problem after difficult problem. you should try to come up with AS MANY DIFFERENT OPENERS AS POSSIBLE for the different problems. (for instance, there are something like 5 different ways to start #245 in the yellow og problem solving section.) this way, when you're faced with a difficult problem on the test, you can just go bang, bang, bang through all the different options that are available to you, rather than having to think creatively. (creative thinking is NOT a good thing on standardized tests - it's a sign of desperation. if the whole test goes as though it were multiple-choice - if the only decisions you have to make are BETWEEN options, rather than from scratch - you can rest assured that you nailed it.)
Ron has been teaching various standardized tests for 20 years.
