Endgame advice needed

by westsidah408 » Sun Jan 15, 2012 2:21 am
Hi BeattheGMAT members.

I just took GMATPrep for the first time and scored 550 (33Q, 33V). I did not do the AWA since this is my first CAT but I plan to do them for each subsequent CAT.

Due to a very demanding job, time-wise, I have taken a long time to go through MGMAT's set of 8 strategy guides. They are good but the exam has clearly shown me that I need to revise many topics.

My GMAT is scheduled for the end of February, which is about 6 weeks from now. I am aiming for 700 and I think a 150 increase is doable if I put in the time.

If anyone could provide any advice on how I can get that improvement I am all ears.

A few things to note:
- I feel a recap of main points in each topic + strategies for RC and CR should in itself improve the score
- I am only about halfway through OG12 questions, usually doing them in batches of 20-30 and the overall accuracy is 77% so far. I'd say I'm in the high-medium questions.
- I had a LOT of time to spare at the end of each section so I think I need to slow down. I will be working on that as well.
- I feel I made a lot of careless errors, so eliminating them should be key.

Any help that anyone can provide would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks!!
