Test is in 4 days HELP!

by rossi11 » Sat Jul 09, 2011 1:06 pm
Someone please give me advise on what to do...

I have done the full Official Guide and am now working through the Verbal and Quant Official Guide Reviews. I'm getting a good portion of the questions right out of the book. I've taken 5 practice tests and gotten around the score that I need. However, the last test I took was 50 points lower than what I have been averaging. I have no idea what to do from here. Should I keep doing practice problems, are the tests a better option? I don't have much time and want to know what the best move from here is. Help please!

4 days before the test you should only get light practice and review your weak points.
Don't approach the test studying in a rush... just let it go... remember if you sit to the test too stressed you will underperform

Good luck!

4 days doesn't give you alot of time - - our general rule of thumb is you take 3 tests (real ones, retired, of course, if available), before taking the real one, and this will give you an accurate indication of the score you can expect. If you scored 50 points lower on this one but not others. No sweat. Just learn from your mistakes.

you DO have options right now, too:

>isolate what you didn't get right - -and focus on that.
>Assume you're going to take the test 2x. Most people do.
>Check in with yourself: are you ready to play to win or do you have anxiety.

Good Luck!
