Estimated Verbal Scaled Score?

by must82 » Sun Jun 27, 2010 12:54 am
Hi guys,

I have been a silent follower in this forum and learned a lot from your experiences.

I have been working on Kaplan and Official Guide Verbal but havent taken any prep test yet.
In general, I get 65-70 % success on SC and rC and 80 % CR. What would be my scaled score on verbal if have same success on real gmat? I know Gmat has a different calculation method, but I just want to have some rough estimation.

Thank you very much in advance.

I don't want to come off as being overly pessimistic, but if you are only getting 70% of the verbal problems correct in the OG, I would say your verbal score won't be higher than mid 30s. I would probably expect it to be between 28-32 honestly. I thought that the OG was easier compared to the real verbal. Really try to hone in on verbal. The Veritas prep class really helped me improve my verbal. Attempt to develop a consistent routine for how you approach each verbal question type. This will help a lot.
