Need to Improve SC Scores Quickly

by ghoward199 » Tue Mar 01, 2011 8:29 am
I have 11 study days left until I take the GMAT, and I need drastic improvement in my SC scores. I received the following scores in my past two CAT practice tests:

2/26: 600 (46Q, 28V)
2/26: 620 (47Q, 28V)

Needless to say, I need to increase my verbal score to get into the high 600/low 700 range (my goal). Within the verbal section I am disproportionally weak in SC, where I have approximately 3x's as many mistakes as RC and CR combined.

Please help me develop a strategy to improve my SC skills quickly so I can Beat the GMAT!

Thank you!!

from my experience dont give the GMAT at this time...............postpone it a little and work on your weak areas......................Verbal Screws a lot in the GMAT as one feels that he is doing right but in the end it really dissapoints..............................if u are confident that u can get min 680 then only give the exam....................if u are an engineer from a normal college with no extraordinary profile, then please dont think of applying before getting a 700 score........

Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of postponing the test. The deadline for applications is March 15th and I am taking the GMAT on March 12th. However, I am applying to a "second-tier" school that averages a 620 on the GMAT, so I would feel confident if I scored 680.

Thanks for your advice!
