Scored 650 in Manhattan online test

Today i scored 650/800 in my first Manhattan online test.
My score was
Quant 46
Verbal 33

I found quant bit tough....Dont know if any one else also found it tough.
I dont know how close this test is to Actual GMAT.

Anyone with any info about it, please share it with me.

Same Score

Hi Sunny
I got almost same score 660 ( V36 Q 44).This was the lowest Quant score i ever got.But i realised i made too many silly mistake.Dont know how representative is this test.Please let me know for the same.I am aiming for 740 and my exam date is in last week of september....

Seems we both performed almost same in this exam and targeting the same Gmat score.... 740...Hope we both get it........


Please share what all books,online tutorials & tests you are preparing from.....May be this way it will be helpful for both. if we share such Info.......

I will be appeairng for GMAT in 1st week of October......

Books i am focusing on are as follows

OG10
OG11
Kaplan Premier
Manhattan SC
1000 Series for RC,SC,CR ( though havnt completed them yet)

Tests
Princeton average score around 690-700 ( 4 test)
Kaplan havnt given them yet but will surely give
Manhattan 660 (online)
Powerprep 710,740
Gmat Prep still havent given (will give in th end)

Sunny i havent taken the date because all the slots are booked.I have taken leave from office for 15 days and book a date after seeing my performance but definately aroung last week of september or first week of october.
If you need any more suggestions do let me know.

I need to improve on SC,RC,DS.These are my weak points and considering your score in verbal u need to improve a lot in it too..
Do u have explanation for 1000 SC questions.....i dnt have much time to look for every question on net due to time constraint.......

MGMAT Math is tougher than the actual ones, sometimes I have found their Verbal to be easier than the actual one.

i believe i would agree with Prasanna on that one, differing only on 1 point - i thought MGMAT CR and RC were harder

You are right Ankit......i really need to work on Verbal........

Right now i am mainly concentrating on
OG 10
OG 11
Manhattan SC


Apart from these three....what should i take on.......???

Ankit Do You have any set of tests....i mean any exe file which you can send to me.......



Guys I have one more query.....
I have a set of 4 tests of Princeton....but when i run the software...it asks for an Acknowledgment word.......

Can anyone help me with the Acknowledgment word.......

Sunny ................just let me know the acknowledgement word it is asking for and i will tell you the word.
After reading so many blogs i guess we need to concentrate more on verbal part because i feel with little more effort we can get a scaled score of around 49 in Quant....but to get to our target score of 740 we need atleast 40 in verbal which is a tuff task going by the score we both are getting.....
I have started doing Powerscore CR bible and finding it to be very useful.....
Regarding SC...please guide me what i need to do...i want to do 1000 SC but not getting explanation for the same and without explanation there is no use of doing that and looking for every answer in forum is very time consuming.....Please i need your advice in this.........

Yes you are rite...to get such a score we need to do well in verbal....
For SC I read grammar rules from Manhattan and found them very useful.....if you haven't had the chance to look at it.....i Stronly recommend you to go through it......

I completed SC from OG 10 & 11....Apart from it, i have not done anything......

when i start the test it asks for

I dont know what to enter in this???

Dont know how good this score is....????

I scored 700 in Kaplan online test (47 Q 40 V)........too be frank i dont find kaplan to be very gud representative of your actul score and their scoring algorithm is weird....i got 1 wrong in quant and still got 47 in Quant..........and secondly many questions were repeat from either their book or OG..................

i need some help.....do u have ant SC question with their explanation for practice since m not able to find explanation for 1000 SC

700 in GMAT PREP 1.......I have only 2 more weeks to go.....

So finally i took GMAT Prep 1 today and scored 700.

My scores were
Q 50 ------------ 4 Incorrect
V 33 ------------ 14 Incorrect

Total 700

I am disappointed with my verbal scores :(

I performed very bad in RCs & SCs.....Still finding RC as my weak area......

Dont know how can i work upon it.......

Please guide me on how i can improve my RC skills.....I have only 2 more weeks to go.....

Hello Guys,
Me too taking the test in october :D, and I need to improve on my verbal .
My Quant score is 48-49

But Verbal is near 34-35 :(

I started doing 1000SC , and I have the powerscore CR bible too, but its way too long! :(

You went thorough with the PS CR bible or just read some parts of it. Let me know, so I get some motivation!

Also m facing the same problem with the authentication code :wink: need ur help on that!
