490 to 540???

by Rez » Wed May 26, 2010 9:30 am
Hey guys...I took the GMAT last year without any prep whatsoever and scored a 490 (5.0 AWA). I've been out of school for a while, so the math portion was a bit difficult for me. I am scheduled to take the exam again in a month and was wondering what I should focus on to achieve a 540 (I know that score is not the loftiest score to shoot for, but it is all I need to get into the school of my choice). Thanks.

540? Get the Kaplan verbal and math workbooks and the Official Guide, and go through those 3. You will need about 4 hours a night from now until the test, and that should put you in position to do well.

One more thing. You may want to get the Manhattan GMAT Math Foundations guide. You have to guage how much time you have and whether you will be able to get through everything
