690 (47Q, 37V) on the gmat...2nd attempt

by chadtibb » Sun Apr 24, 2011 2:27 pm
1st attempt 2 months prior was 580 (41Q, 28V) 5.5 AWA, buckled down and really focused on verbal. My highest practice test was 620, so I was pleasantly surprised to get the 690.

One thing I would like to know from you all is some feedback on my age. I am 37yo and have been an executive chef in NYC for the last 8 years. I want to expand my options with an MBA and go into supply chain management, project management, or just general management.

My BBA is from University of Michigan 1996.

Since I'm in NYC already and don't plan on moving, my options for schools are somewhat limited.

I'm looking at Colombia, NYU, Fordham, and St John's.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks everyone. I love this site. It helped my find resources I needed to study and excel.

Congrats on your score! It's really nice to read that you managed to better your practice results so significantly. That, at least from what I frequently read here, is a very uncommon achievement :)
