Hi, just looking for insight around whether it is wise to retake the test given:

_ I initially wrote it in early Nov2008 (640/76% (q:42/63%, v:34/69%))
_ Looking to study two weeks and rewrite before xmas 2008.

Big question is I know the material, just need to get better at it to reach a higher score, so is a week and one weekend (doing a test a day) enough prep to make any difference ?

Obviously its a bit of an "opinion" answer, but can you make up 60pts (to break 700) by simply doing more tests ?

Thanks.

My opinion is that this isn't enough time. When preparing for your second round of prep, I think that it takes a little more time to self analyze your weaknesses from your first test and develop a targeted study plan. A week is not much time to be strategic in your prep.

I recommend about a month. If that's not possible, think about focusing on apps instead. A 640 is a strong score. If your GPA and work experience is strong then focusing on GMAT now may not be the best use of your time.

All the best,
