GMAT Study Materials

by archi » Thu Mar 15, 2007 12:58 pm
I am in the process of gathering more GMAT study books and have one quick question.

Is there any clear advantage/benefit in getting the most recent version of Kaplan, Princeton, etc.. books ?

I have the latest version of Official Guide (+ Quant. Supplement) but am considering buying used books from 2006 and 2005.

Is there anything greatly better in latest versions compared to earlier versions of Kaplan and Princeton review materials?

Thanks!

Hi archi:

In general, it's a good idea to work with the most recent materials that you can get your hands on. While the GMAT doesn't change significantly year after year, test prep companies do learn more about the test with experience/time.

That being said--I don't think you'll be necessarily hurting yourself by using books that are a year or two old. As long as you have OG11 (which you seem to have), then you should be fine. If I were you I'd save my money and use the older books.

Best of luck!
